If you’re planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.
Vaccinations are available to protect you against infections such as yellow fever, typhoid and hepatitis A.
In the UK, the NHS routine immunisation (vaccination) schedule protects you against a number of diseases, but does not cover all of the infectious diseases found overseas.
Please note a fee may be payabale.
Our Travel clinic nurses are Nikki, Lisa and Linda.
Do you need vaccinations?
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to make an appointment with the Practice nurses, but first you will need to complete a questionnaire (see below or collect from reception).
This questionnaire asks you to advise which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine which vaccinations are required. The nurse will then review your needs and call you to advise what is recommended, and where appropriate arrange an appointment.
Please note that many vaccinations are not provided by the NHS and accordingly a fee may be payable. The nurse will advise you about this.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:
Travel Assessment
If you are travelling abroad please complete and submit the travel form in plenty of time (we recommend 6-8 weeks) before your journey.
