Travel Vacinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to make an appointment with the Practice Nurses, but first you will need to complete a questionaire (see below or collect from Reception). This questionaire asks you to advise which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine which vaccinations are required. The nurse will then review your needs and call you to advise what is recommended, and where appropriate arrange an appointment.  Please note that many vaccinations are not provided by the NHS and accordingly a fee may be payable.  The nurse will advise you about this.  We are a registered Yellow Fever Centre.

There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below.

It is important to complete the questionaire as early as possible  - at least 8 weeks before you travel - as our Practice Nurses cannot vaccinate you without the information required on the questionaire, will need to make an appointment to vaccinate you, and may have to order the vaccine in if it is not a stock line we carry.

Please help us to help you by giving us plenty of time to arrange your vaccinations.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.  This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
