Appointments
The Practice runs an appointment system, based mainly on 10 minute appointments.
In accordance with our quality contract with the NHS, appointments are split with approximately 30% pre-bookable three weeks in advance, 50% available one week in advance, with the remainder for booking on the day. ALL appointments are bookable on-line and are availabe 24/7. Availability refreshes around 4am daily i.e. at 4 am on Monday, that day's appointments become available, as do those for the Monday 3 weeks hence.
At busy times, or when there is a shortage of appointments, we may need to ask you personal questions regarding your illness in order for us to determine which member of the Healthcare Team is best qualified to see you.
We do try to see you on time. If you are kept waiting please be patient. The cliniciam may be dealing with an emergency or complicated problem.
Please arrive promptly for your appointment. If you are late we may have to re-book you for another time/day.
If you cannot keep your appointment please let us know in good time.
TELEPHONE APPOINTMENTS
The doctors welcome consultations by telephone. Please state ‘phone call’ and your contact number when booking the appointment. Doctors will try calling you twice, but will not leave a message on an anwerphone for confidentiality reasons. In some circumstances it may be appropriate for you to speak to one of our Practice Nurses.
